Corner Surf Shop

Corner Surf Shop is a surf retailer based in Geraldton that was established in 1976. Somewhat of a Geraldton institution, Corner Surf has gone through several rebrandings over the years and approached Cleaver Street with the idea to update their brand based off the original hand sketched logo produced for the shop back in the 70’s. We incorporated the same core elements (wordmark, postmark, wave, crossed boards) and layout from the original sketch, and continuing the hand-drawn aesthetic, produced an illustrated logo and wordmark in ink that was inspired but classic sources like “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” print and traditional signwriting. From this hand-drawn logo we’ve then produced signage, merchandise and business stationery for Corner Surf.
